Review Engagement Reports (Accountants Comments)

Not all companies have a statutory or shareholder requirement for an audit, but still wish or need to have a professional services firm involved with their financial statements. Your bank, for example, may request that your accountants be involved to enhance the reliability or credibility of your company's financial statements. In these circumstances, our professionals will conduct a review engagement, with the objective of assessing whether your financial statements are plausible. A review engagement provides less assurance and less credibility to the financial statements than an audit. It involves a limited amount of analytical work and consultation, but does not involve the level of testing and external validation procedures of an audit.
