    Angèle Charbonneau, H.BComm, CA

I graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Laurentian University in 1996 and proceeded to article with Ernst & Young LLP (Toronto). During my six (6) year stay with Ernst & Young, I obtained significant public and private company audit and special project experience in a variety of industries including retail, manufacturing, and distribution. In 1999 I obtained my Chartered Accountant (CA) designation. In 2002 I decided to return to Northern Ontario, joining BDO Dunwoody LLP (Sudbury) where I practiced primarily in the area of accounting and audit, for owner-managed companies, not-for-profit and First Nation organizations in Northern Ontario. I received in-house recognition as an "Assurance Specialist" with BDO Dunwoody LLP prior to making my decision to leave the firm to join Laberge Venne & Partners in April 2003.

My efforts, throughout my career have provided me with significant experience in, and knowledge of various industries and organizations. I have provided various services including accounting, assurance, bookkeeping, financial and business advisory services to large international, national and local organizations, both privately and publicly owned, to smaller privately owned business, First Nations, municipalities, and various not-for-profit organizations. My experience has provided me with considerable knowledge of public company reporting requirements, government regulations, funding sources and other general reporting requirements.

I am also involved in various community services, which include volunteering to assist low-income individuals and seniors in the preparation of their personal income tax returns. In September 2002, I was appointed as a board member and Treasurer for Meals on Wheels (Sudbury). On behalf of the Sudbury and District Chartered Accountants Association, I have also made presentations to groups of bankers and local CA's on new accounting standards in the profession.
